Led by new head coach Mike Lonergan, the George Washington Colonials will face the VCU Rams, fresh off VCU's Final Four appearance in 2011. Tickets can be purchased for $45, and are also good for Maryland's Classic clash with Notre Dame.
The BB&T Classic is a major source of fundraising for The Children's Charities Foundation (CCF). Founded in 1994 by a group of Washington-area business and professional leaders, the CCF has distributed more than $8.3 million to charities in the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area.
Young Alumni (class of 2007 and later) are encouraged to visit the GW Alumni website for information on a special Young Alumni event at the Verizon Center which includes a discounted ticket and pre-game reception at the Verizon Center.
Tickets for GW home games at the Smith Center in Foggy Bottom can also be purchased through a variety of ways. Fans are encouraged to fill out the men's basketball season ticket interest form, or can call 202-994-7325 during regular business hours to purchase their seats.
