WHO: George Washington vs. VCU at 2:15 p.m.; Maryland vs. Notre Dame approx. 4:45 p.m.

Tickets for the 17th Annual BB&T Classic are now on sale, and can be purchased by clicking here, calling 202-994-7325 or emailing gwpromos@gwu.edu for more information. Led by new head coach Mike Lonergan, the George Washington Colonials will face the VCU Rams, fresh off VCU's Final Four appearance in 2011. Tickets can be purchased for $45, and are also good for Maryland's Classic clash with Notre Dame.

The BB&T Classic is a major source of fundraising for The Children's Charities Foundation (CCF). Founded in 1994 by a group of Washington-area business and professional leaders, the CCF has distributed more than $8.3 million to charities in the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area.

Young Alumni (class of 2007 and later) are encouraged to visit the GW Alumni website for information on a special Young Alumni event at the Verizon Center which includes a discounted ticket and pre-game reception at the Verizon Center.

Tickets for GW home games at the Smith Center in Foggy Bottom can also be purchased through a variety of ways. Fans are encouraged to fill out the men's basketball season ticket interest form, or can call 202-994-7325 during regular business hours to purchase their seats.

Other ways to enjoy all of the action from the 2011 BB&T Classic, and catch GW games at the Smith Center, include:

  • The BB&T Plan, which includes a BB&T ticket and two non-premium games of their choosing at the Smith Center for $60.
  • The Weekend Warrior Plan, which includes one ticket to all seven (7) weekend (Sat/Sun) games, including the exhibition game vs. Bowie State on Nov. 6th, and the BB&T Classic, for $124.
     

     

    Partial & Flex Plans for the 2011-12 men's basketball season are also now on sale and built to fit you and your family's schedule and budget, including:

  • The eight-game Conference Plan can be purchased for $80, and includes one ticket to all eight (8) conference home games.
  • The Premium Plan can be purchased for $50, and includes your choice of one (1) Premium game (Xavier or the Homecoming Game versus Saint Joseph's) and three (3) additional home games.
  • The Hoops & Happy Hour Plan can be purchased for $40, and includes your choice of any four (4) mid-week home games (excluding Premium games), with Happy Hour specials provided pregame at Tonic at Quigley's Restaurant.
