Enjoy NBA Venue as the Colonials Face Manhattan at the Annual BB&T Classic
Nov. 12, 2012
GW Athletics and the university's Young Alumni Network will host a pre-game reception in the Verizon Center's Coaches Club ahead of the men's basketball team's showdown with Manhattan College at the 18th annual BB&T Classic on Sunday, Dec. 2.
The tailgate costs $45 and begins at 11:15 a.m., an hour before tip-off between GW and Manhattan. The cost includes brunch, unlimited mimosas and bloody marys for two hours, access to the Coaches Club throughout the BB&T Classic, and a ticket in the GW Young Alumni section of the Verizon Center during the event. After the reception, the Coaches Club will remain open with a cash bar throughout GW's game against the Jaspers and the second game of the doubleheader which pits Maryland against George Mason. GW, along with Maryland, has participated in the BB&T Classic - which benefits the Children's Charities Foundation - since its inception in 1995. The Colonials won the event in 1997, 1999 and 2004 when it was still in a tournament format.
