Wednesday's Game: GW (2-5, 0-0 A-10) hosts Towson (2-4, 0-1 CAA) for the second straight year, Wednesday at Smith Center.

• Wednesday's game marks the 10th meeting between the teams. GW leads the series, 8-1 and is 5-0 against the Tigers at the Smith Center. GW has won the last seven meetings in the series.

• Towson is coming off a 74-62 loss to Hofstra Saturday at Hempstead, NY. The Tigers are 0-3 on the road in 2010-11. Towson also lost to another common opponent, Navy (89-84), this season at home.

• It its last outing, Towson was led by Isaiah Philmore and Rashawn Polk with 15 points each at Hofstra. The Tigers shot 44 percent from the field and sank seven threes against the Pride but committed 15 turnovers.

• Towson is picked to finish 10th in the 12-team CAA preseason poll of the League's coaches and sports information directors released Oct. 19.

• GW is coming off a 64-57 loss to Navy Sunday afternoon in the 16th Annual BB&T Classic at the Verizon Center, its fourth straight setback following a modest two-game win streak.

He is one of four Tigers averaging double figures. Braxton Dupree's 11.0 rebounding average leads the Tigers through six games. Tony Franklin (14 3-pt. FGs) contributes 14.2 points a game. As a team, Towson is averaging nearly 74 points per game while shooting 44 percent from the field, 36 percent from 3-point range and 68 percent from the line. Towson is outrebounding opponents this season by nearly five caroms a game but has been turning it over an average of 16 times per outing.
