WASHINGTON -- For the first time since downing sixth-ranked Virginia in front of a raucous crowd on Nov. 16, 2015, the GW men's basketball team welcomes in a top-10 opponent to Smith Center as Miami comes to town this Saturday.

Tip is set for noon before a national TV audience on CBS Sports Network, and GW will "Whiteout" the Smith Center with free t-shirts for all fans.

GW will be looking to hand the No. 6 Hurricanes their first defeat as they come in with a perfect 8-0 record. Playing in front of a sold-out Smith Center crowd two years ago, the Colonials took down sixth-ranked Virginia for their first home win over a top-10 opponent since defeating No. 1 UMass in 1996.

In addition to the whiteout, this Saturday's game will feature a number of promotions, including a surprise D.C. figure for the Politico Playbook Timeout, which recently featured D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser. Additionally, GW will unveil its NCAA Community Service National Championship banner.

Single-game tickets are available for as low as $30 and can be purchased at or by calling 202-99-GWTIX.
