Live Video of GW Basketball Games Available at GWsports.com
Dec. 12, 2006 WASHINGTON, DC -- The George Washington University Department of Athletics is proud to announce that GW's men's and women's basketball home games can now be seen live via video streaming at www.GWsports.com anywhere in the world for a monthly subscription fee of $7.95. The service begins tonight when GW hosts UMBC in a men's basketball game at 7:30 p.m. (EST). Saturday's women's game vs. Auburn also will be streamed live beginning at 2:00 p.m. (EST). Simply click on the Audio Video link at the lower left corner of the website's main page and follow the instructions for "GW All-Access." Subscribers will be able to view the games exactly as they are produced for Smith Center's video scoreboard with replays, statistics, out-of-town scores and fast facts as well as both high mid-court and under-the-basket views of the action. In order to enjoy "GW All-Access," the subscriber needs to be running Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 or 7.0 on the following systems: Microsoft Windows XP Home / Professional SP2, Windows XP Media Center 2005, Windows 2000 SP4; Windows Media Player 9 or 10. For Mac users, Apple has released a public beta of "Boot Camp" which is built to more easily allow Mac users to install and run Windows XP on an Intel-based Apple computer. Apple will include this technology standard in their soon to be released OS X, Leopard. For now, this software can be downloaded through the following link provided by Apple: http://www.apple.com/macosx/bootcamp/ Once you have installed Boot Camp and Windows XP, Service Pack 2, you will be able to view "All-Access" content on a Macintosh if you are booted up using the Windows XP platform.
