Cavanaugh helped lead the men's basketball team to a pair of wins last week, averaging 16.5 points, 9.0 rebounds and 5.0 assists in wins over Temple and Howard. On Wednesday, he scored 20 points vs. the Owls, including 12 of GW's final 14, and hit the game-winning three-pointer with 8.2 seconds left to break a 63-63 tie. The win marked GW's first at Temple since 2006, and snapped a seven-game losing streak at the hands of the Owls. Cavanaugh followed up the performance with a 13-point, 13-rebound outing on Saturday, helping GW cruise to a 79-62 win over local foe Howard.
