Cavanaugh Signs Multi-Year Contract with Atlanta Hawks

ATLANTA – Former GW star Tyler Cavanaugh has inked a multi-year contract with the Atlanta Hawks, the organization announced Monday.

Cavanaugh, who was originally signed to a two-way contract by the Hawks on November 5, 2017, has appeared in 19 games with Atlanta, including one start. He’s averaging 5.5 points, 3.2 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 13.8 minutes (.507 FG%, .409 3FG%, .769 FT%). His 3-point percentage ranks fourth among all NBA rookies.

In the last two weeks, Cavanaugh has found a regular spot in the rotation, playing at least 16 minutes in six of his last seven appearances. During that stretch, he’s averaging 8.9 points and 5.4 rebounds on 49 percent shooting from 3-point range.
