Monday's Game: George Washington (6-3) and Hawai'i (6-4) meet for just the second time tonight in the 45th Annual Outrigger Hotels Rainbow Classic.

• Monday's game is the third of a four-game road trip that began at Sacramento State on Tuesday and continues in Honolulu for three games in the Outrigger Hotels Rainbow Classic hosted by the University of Hawai'i.

• GW is coming off a 83-72 loss to Vermont Saturday in the opening game of the Rainbow Classic. The loss snapped a three-game winning streak for the Colonials. Senior Rob Diggs led the Colonials with a game-high 25 points on 8-11 FGs, 9-13 from the free throw line and 14 rebounds for his 11th career double-double.

• GW is 2-3 on the road this season and is 40-51 (.440) away from home in seven-plus seasons under Karl Hobbs.

• Hawai'i is coming off a 74-58 loss to Colorado State also Saturday.

• The Warriors are 6-3 at home this season and will play 20 home games this season.

• The Warriors were picked to finish 7th in the 9-team Western Athletic Conference in the league's preseason coaches poll released Oct. 14.

• GW has won 60 of its last 89 regular-season games and 32 of its last 48 A-10 games.

A Closer Look at Hawai'i: A school of nearly 20,000 students, Hawai'i is located on the island of Oahu and is a member of the Western Athletic Conference. Under second-year head coach Bob Nash, Hawai'i is picked to finish 7th in the 9-team WAC in the preseason coaches poll released Oct. 14. The Rainbow Warriors are led by 6-7 junior F Roderick Flemming's 19.4 points per game (7.0 rpg) and 6-8 junior F Petras Balocka's 12.3 points (6.3 rpg). The Rainbow Warriors are 6-3 at home this season with victories over Iowa State and Idaho State among others. As a team, Hawai'i is shooting 43 pct. from the field but just 25 pct. from 3-point range and 73 pct. from the FT line. Through 10 games, Hawai'i is narrowly outscoring its opponents by 0.7 ppg but is dominating its opponents on the boards by 8.2 caroms a game. UH has had trouble handling the ball this season with a -3.9 turnover margin. UH assistant coach Larry Farmer was the head coach at UCLA from 1981-83.

Next Game: GW will face one of four remaining teams on Tuesday in its third game of the Rainbow Classic. The Colonials won't know their final opponent until a doubleheader is completed later on Sunday featuring Buffalo-Pepperdine and Colorado-Coppin State. All three games in the Classic will be broadcast live on the GW student radio station, WRGW, via the Internet at www.GWradio.com.
