Stepped into the role of fifth man for the Colonials in the fall of 2004 and filled it admirably. Opened his GW career with a 72 at the JMU Invitational. He would follow it up with 75-78. He finished 21st at the 2005 Rehoboth Beach Invitational, shooting 76-75. In 2006 he shot a 74 at the Campbell Invitational. As a junior, he found himself in the starting line-up more frequently, getting the starting nod at ODU and Campbell. He shot another 74 in the opening round of the Navy Fall Classic. Brooker was named co-captain as a senior and added his first career top 10, shooting 72-75 to place sixth at the 2007 Rehoboth Beach Invitational.
Junior, High School & Amateur Golf:
Brooker graduated from Windsor Boys School in June of 2003. Instead of staring school that fall he choose to enroll in the International Junior Golf Academy in Hilton Head, SC. In 2003-04 he played an extensive IJGT schedule, amassing three top 10s and four top 20s in 13 events. Brooker finished sixth in tough conditions on tough courses shooting 232 over three rounds at the IJGT Kiawah Island Invitational. Brooker's 75 was the low score in the final round at the famous Ocean Course, site of the 1991 Ryder Cup. Brooker finished eighth with 149 at the IJGT Bull Run Classic and tied his future teammate Tim Johnson for seventh at the IJGT at Crystal Springs. Back in the UK, Brooker played in the Midlands Amateur, shooting 78-76 and qualified for the English Amateur in 2004 and 2005 and advanced to match play both years. In 2006 he finished 3rd at the Burnham-Beeches Invitational with rounds of 72-73 which featured a hole-in-one.
