A team co-captain, Hamm competed in nine rounds in the fall with a 78.7 stroke average. As a sophomore in 2008-09, Hamm played 29 rounds as a sophomore and posted a 78.0 stroke average and a 506-382 head-to-head record. Played 12.5 rounds in six events as a freshman in 2007-08. Shot his season-low round of 70 in the second rd. at the McDaniel Invitational where he was the runner-up in a field of 54. Hamm tied for first after 36 holes before losing on the first playoff hole.

Junior, High School & Amateur Golf:
Selected to represent Europe in the 2002 Junior Ryder Cup versus the United States and to represent continental Europe in the 2002 Jacque Leglise Cup. In 2006 he led the Germany Army team to a 2nd-place finish in the World Military Golf Championship, finishing 8th overall in the event in Ireland.
