Mark Havlik

Mark Havlik is in his third year as a volunteer assistant with the GW men's golf program. Havlik joined the staff in the fall of 2009 and is primarily responsible for the logistical side of the program. Driving the team to tourneys and practice. A native of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Havlik is a 1986 graduate of the University of Nebraska at Omaha and a 26-year veteran of the U.S. Air Force. During his last 10 years of military service, Havlik was stationed at Andrews AFB outside Washington, DC, to the 99th Airlift Squadron, 89th Air Wing. His responsibilities included providing safe air transportation for three former presidents (Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton and George H. Bush), along with Vice Presidents Cheney and Biden, and First Ladies Hilary Clinton and Laura Bush. He also flew Defense Sectys. Rumsfeld and Gates, Secty. of State Rice and Clinton, as well as numerous Chairmen and Chiefs of the Joint chiefs of staff and foreign Presidents and Prime Ministers. |
