At GW:
In his first event as a Colonial, he shot 71-76 to tie for 25th at the Navy Fall Classic. He placed 12th the following week, shooting 73-76 and helping his team to the title at the Rehoboth Beach Invitational. He was the low Colonial at the 2007 Atlantic 10 Championship, placing 13th and missing the All-Conference team by one shot. His opening round 70 tied his career low. He followed it up with 72 and 73 for a 215 total.

Junior, High School & Amateur Golf:
McMahon transferred to GW from Eckered College in Florida after his sophomore year. As a sophomore he helped Eckerd earn an NCAA Division II tournament bid. He averaged 74.9, never shooting higher than 78. His best finish came at the Rollins College Invitational where he finished second with 72-70-73. McMahon won the Rhode Island Four Ball Championship in 2006 with his partner Brad Valois. In July of 2006 he shot 139 to qualify for the U.S. Amateur Championship.
