Tied the school record with a 66 in the second round of the 2009 ODU Seascape Intercollegiate Oct. 27 ...carded a 67 in the second round and shot a 76 to tie for seventh among the 65-player field in the season-opening Turning Stone Tiger Intercollegiate at Verona, NY. His 67 was the lowest of the 195 total rounds played in the tournament. He also turned in a 67 in the first round of the 2008 ODU-Seascape Invitational in Oct. 2008.
Led the team with a 75.0 stroke average as a sophomore in 2007-08. Shot his 70 three times including both rounds of the Notre Dame Irish Invitational en route to an even-par 140 and a 3rd-place finish in the field of 59. Played eight rounds on the "A" team as a freshman and placed sixth at the Navy Spring Classic. He was twice-named Atlantic 10 Conference Rookie of the Week in `07.

Turner is the 2005 Indiana State Match Play Champion and was honored as the Pepsi Indiana Player of the Year that same year. He also qualified for the US Junior Amateur mat Olympic Club in San Francisco. In 2005 he won the FCWT Cog Hill Invitational, shooting 74-75.
