NEW ORLEANS, LA - The GW Golf team placed 13th in the 14-team Sportscare/Bob Brown Classic, Monday and Tuesday at New Orleans, LA. The Colonials combined for a 631 (319-312) at the par-72, 7,005-yard Gator Blue course at Eastover Country Club. Tennessee State won the tournament with a team total of 601 followed by Bethune-Cookman (602).

The Colonials edged Tulane, 631-633.

For the seventh straight tournament, GW's Thomas Blankvoort (Curacao, Netherlands) was the low Colonial with an eight-over-par 152 (76-76) to finish in a four-way tie for 19th in the 36-hole event.

Junior Michael Ball (Potomac, MD) and senior Bryan Derdenger (Scottsdale, AZ/Chaparral) were the second- and third-lowest Colonials with two-round totals of 155 and 159, respectively

Bethune-Cookman's Adam Auger won the tournament with a one-under-par 143 (70-73) to edge Missouri-Kansas City's Matt Willmott by a stroke.
