BETHANY BEACH, DE -- George Washington's Cole Turner and Brandon Rukin are tied with a pair of 74s after Friday's first round at the 11th annual George Washington Invitational men's golf tournament on the Delaware Shore. The two-day event was originally scheduled as a 54-hole tournament but was shortened to 36 holes due to the number of participants and the unseasonably cold temperatures. The second and final round will be played Saturday at the par 72, 6,834-yard Bear Trap Dunes Golf Club in Bethany Beach, DE.

The Colonials' `A' Team is currently eighth with a total of 312, nine strokes off the pace set by Penn and Skidmore, each with 303s. Delaware's Justin Martinson is the leader in the clubhouse after Friday with a one-under-par 71 (36-35), the only individual to shoot under par. Martinson leads Skidmore's Chris DeJohn and teammate Joseph Flowers by one stroke.

Following Saturday's final round, the Colonials' next competition will be the Navy Spring Invitational on April 4-5 at Annapolis, MD. The 36-hole event takes place at the par-71, 6,528-yard Naval Academy Golf Course.
