Golf Places 16th at William & Mary Invitational

WILLIAMSBURG, VA - GW's Brian Carroll (Crystal Lake, IL/Crystal Lake South) fired a 76-77-75-228 to tie for 25th in the William & Mary Invitational Monday-Tuesday at the par-71, 6,781-yard Kingsmill River Course in Williamsburg, VA. The Colonials placed 16th in the 19-team field. James Madison shot a combined 896 to claim the team title over Liberty by nine strokes. Georgetown's James Farrah won the tournament in a playoff with St. John's Andrew Svoboda, each carding a six-over-par 219. Freshman Dan Mirabella (Ann Arbor, MI/Saline) was the second-lowest Colonial with a 75-77-78-230, just two strokes behind Carroll. Freshman (Bogota, Colombia/Colegio Nueva Granada) tied for 51st with a three-round total 236 (82-75-79).
