Blankvoort Tied for Lead After First Round of GW Invitational

ISSUE, MD - GW's Thomas Blankvoort (Curacao, Netherlands) shot an even-par 72 Sunday in the first round of the GW Invitational at the -yard Swan Point Golf Club in Issue, MD. Blankvoort is tied with Yale's Chris Eckerle with the final round scheduled for Monday.

Yale's 297 leads the host Colonials (306) in the team standings after the first round.

Colonials' junior Michael Ball (Potomac, MD) is in a four-way tie for seventh with a 75 Sunday. GW sophomore Charles Taylor (St. Lambert, Quebec) is two strokes behing Ball with a 77.

T-1st Thomas Blankvoort 72 - 72
T-7th Michael Ball 75 - 75
T-15th Charles Taylor 77 - 77

The Colonials compete in the second round of the GW Golf Invitational Monday.
