Colonials Tie for Third at Princeton Invitational

PRINCETON, NJ -- GW senior Brian Carroll (Crystal Lake, IL) and freshman Lewis Sturdy (Keston, Kent, England) each shot a six-over-par 148 to tie for ninth place, eight strokes off the pace, in the Princeton Invitational Saturday and Sunday at the par-71, 6,380-yard Springdale Golf Club. For Sturdy, it marked the freshman's first top-10 finish of his college career spanning six tournaments. Columbia won the 14-team field with a two-round 594, two strokes ahead of host Princeton (596). Columbia's Chris Condello took individual medalist honors with a two-under 140, three strokes ahead of Drexel's Patrick Hardin. Next up for the Colonials is the 36-hole Navy Spring Invitational, April 14-15, at the U.S. Naval Academy Golf Club in Annapolis, MD. GW individual scores (75 total players):
