Golf Ties For 10th at Northern Intercollegiate

MADISON, WI -- GW's Brian Carroll (Crystal Lake, IL) carded a 213 (71-70-72) to finish in a tie for second place at the 54-hole Northern Intercollegiate, Saturday and Sunday, at Madison, WI. Carroll tied Illinois' Danny Zimmerman in a tournament that featured five squads from the Big Ten Conference. As a team, GW tied Drake for 10th place with a team total 894 (300-296-298). Host Wisconsin won the team title with a total of 862 and Illinois' Garrett Chaussard was the individual winner with a score of 211 on the par-72, 6,888-yard University Ridge Golf Course. GW sophomore Jack Tyler (Novi, MI) finished in a tie for 33rd with a 224 which included a third-round 69. Colonials sophomore Raman Luthra (East Amherst, NY) placed in a tie for 44th with a 228 (77-74-77) while teammate Andrew Gallo (Toronto, Ontario) shot a three-round total 231 (76-75-80) to tie for 52nd. Colonials' junior Dan Mirabella shot a 238 (78-77-83) to tie for 65th and round out the scoring for GW. GW individual scores (72 total players): Final Team Standings Individual Finishes
