GW Golf Wins Rehoboth Beach Fall Invitational

REHOBOTH BEACH, DE - GW sophomore Andrew Gallo (Thornhill, Ontario/Crescent) fired a three-under-par 141 (72-69) to win the Rehoboth Beach Fall Invitational Monday at the par-72, 6,615-yard Kings Creek Country Club on the Delaware shore. Gallo's performance helped George Washington capture the team title as well with a 588 (297-291), a team record for the 36-hole event. Drexel was just one stroke off the pace with a 589, a whopping 24 strokes ahead of third-place Temple (613). Drexel's Joe April carded a 71-72-143 for second place among individuals while GW sophomore Federico Guzman (Bogota, Colombia/ Colegio Nueva Granada) was third with a 146 (72-74). It marked the second tournament victory for Gallo in his brief GW career. He also won the Temple Invitational as a freshman last Oct. 6. He tied for 20th with a 154 in this event last year.
