GW Golf Places Fourth at Rehoboth Beach

REHOBOTH BEACH, DE - GW sophomore Ameet Patil (Gates Mill, OH/Mayfield) fired a seven-over-par 151 (76-75) as the host Colonials placed fourth in the 10-team Rehoboth Beach Fall Invitational Monday at the par-72, 6,615-yard Kings Creek Country Club on the Delaware shore. Binghamton won the 36-hole tournament with a 597 (298-299), five strokes ahead of second-place Navy (602). Navy's Brian Crum carded a 71-72-143 to win the individual title. It marked the first Top-10 finish for Patil who was competing in his first tournament this fall as a member of the Colonials' B team. GW freshman Federico Guzman (Bogota, Colombia/ Colegio Nueva Granada) and junior Charles Taylor (St. Lambert, Quebec) tied for 13th, each with a two-round total 152.
