RALEIGH, N.C. - For the second time in his career, Logan Lowe has set the school record for low round after the junior fired an 8-under par 64 in the second round of the Wolfpack Intercollegiate on Monday.

Lowe, who first set the mark with a 65 in the Marshall Invitational on Sept. 12, 2016, carded six birdies, an eagle and 11 pars en route to his 64 on Monday. He stands in second place at -6 overall, seven shots behind leader Stephen Franken of NC State who opened with a 66 and 65 to get to -13. Lowe shot 74 in the first round Monday morning.

As a team, the Colonials are in 11th place with a 13-over 589 (297-292), while NC State and North Carolina are tied for the lead at 16-under (560). Play concludes with the third and final round on Tuesday morning.

• Relative to par, Lowe's round was two shots better than any in school history ... four players have shot 6-under par 66, including Palazzolo ... Lowe's previous school record of 65 came at a par 70 course ... Lowe has now shot 66 or below four times in his career, and is the only Colonial to do it more than once.
