TOANO, VA -- The GW golf team combined to shoot a third-round 282 to place 11th in the 18-team Joe Agee Invitational Tuesday at the par-70, 6,646-yard Stonehouse Golf Course, in Toano, VA, near Williamsburg. GW freshman and current A-10 Rookie of the Week, Tyler Wendelken (Sammamish, WA/Issaquah) was the low Colonial with a three-round 216 (75-71-70) which included a pair of eagles. Old Dominion won the tournament with an 842 (291-274-277), nine strokes ahead of second-place Loyola (851).

Richmond's Jordan Utley won the event with a five-under 205 (66-71-68) that included a first-round 66. He edged Loyola's Blake Ferguson (66-70-70) by one stroke. Former GW standout, Brian Carroll, won last year's Joe Agee with a six-under-par 210 (70-72-68) to propel the Colonials to victory.

GW senior Bob Rohr (Lake Forest, IL/Lake Forest) and teammate Lewis Sturdy (Keston, Kent, England/Tonbridge) tied for 33rd, each with a 221.

The Colonials next play in the 36-hole Penn Invitational, Oct. 14-15, at the Philadelphia Cricket Club.
