Golf Places 14th at Ball State Tournament

MUNCIE, IN -- GW junior Andrew Gallo (Thornhill, Ontario) carded a 221 (76-72-73) to tie for 20th place out of 90 individuals in the Earl Yestingsmeier Invitational, Tuesday and Wednesday, at the par-70, 6,438-yard Delaware Country Club in Muncie, IN. GW placed 14th the 18-team tournament with a team total 906. Notre Dame won the event with a team total 855 and Ball State's CD Hockersmith was the individual winner with a one-over-par 211. GW sophomore Jack Tyler (Novi, MI) fired a 224 (79-71-74) to tie for 41st place along with teammate Raman Luthra (East Amherst, NY) who shot 75-75-74. GW was five strokes behind Akron (901). GW individual scores (56 total golfers): Next up for the Colonials is the James Madison Invitational, a 54-hole tournament on Oct. 9-10, at Lakeview Country Club in Harrisonburg, VA.
