Golf Places 12th at James Madison Invitational

HARRISONBURG, VA -- GW junior Andrew Gallo (Toronto, Ontario) shot an even-par 213 to tie for 14th place in the 31st annual James Madison Invitational Saturday and Sunday in Harrisonburg, VA. GW placed 14th with an 874, 11 strokes higher than last year's score at the same event at the par-71, 6,496-yard Lakeview Golf Course. Towson University won the tournament with a team total of 839, five strokes ahead of second-place Rutgers. Towson's Jeff Castle won the individual title carding a 70-67-63-200. GW junior Brian Carroll (Crystal Lake, IL) was the second-lowest Colonial with a 219 (73-75-71) to tie for 36th place while teammate Jack Tyler (Novi, MI) placed 53rd with a 219 (73-75-71).
