Golf Struggles at ODU/Seascape Collegiate

KITTY HAWK, NC - The George Washington Golf Team struggled at the 36-hole ODU/Seascape Collegiate golf tournament carding a team total 623 and placing 16th in the 16-team field Tuesday on the outer banks of North Carolina. GW sophomore Andrew Gallo was the low Colonial with a two-over-par 146 at the par-72, 6,469-yard Seascape Golf Course. Virginia Commonwealth won the tournament with a 574. Winthrop's Matt Johnson (72-67) won the medalist title in a one-hole playoff over Campbell's Rikard Allard (72-67). Both players finished the tournament with 139s.
Colonials' individual scores (83 total individuals): The tournament marked GW's final competition in the fall portion of the schedule. The Colonials' next competition takes place March 22-23 in the William & Mary Colonial Invitational at the Kingsmill Resort in Williamsburg, VA.
