GW Golf Begins Busy Week at Bash at the Beach
Event in Myrtle Beach is First of Two Tournaments in Six Days During Spring Break

WASHINGTON - George Washington golf ramps up its spring schedule with the Bash at the Beach on March 10 and 11, its first of two tournaments over a six-day span during Spring Break.
Appalachian State will host the Bash at the Beach at The Surf Golf and Beach Club, or The Surf Club - a par-72, 6,842-yard layout from its championship tees - in North Myrtle Beach, S.C.
All eight GW golfers will compete in the event, with senior Benton Kircher, junior Jack Persons, sophomore Steve Piela and freshmen Lucas Farmer and Michael Heda comprising the Colonials' five-man team, and senior Graham Lawyer and sophomores Michael Helton and Carlos Pena competing as individuals.
GW will be among an 18-team field that also includes host Appalachian State, Alabama State, Bethune Cookman, East Carolina, Campbell, Gardner Webb, Greensboro College, Hampton, Hartford, Jacksonville, James Madison, Liberty, North Carolina Central, Radford, West Georgia, USC Upstate and Valparaiso.
The Colonials will then conclude their Spring Break week at the competitive Seminole Intercollegiate hosted at Florida State's Seminole Golf Club in Tallahassee, Fla., March 14-16. GW will be part of a 13-team field highlighted by 17th-ranked FSU and No. 21 USF.
