WASHINGTON, DC - George Washington's Brian Carroll (Crystal Lake, IL/Crystal Lake South) has been named the Atlantic 10 Conference co-Performer of the Week for men's golf, the league office has announced. It marks the fifth A-10 weekly honor for Carroll who was a three-time Rookie of the Week last season and picked up his first Performer of the Week award last month. He shares this week's award with Temple's Patrick O'Neill.

The GW sophomore fired an even-par 216 (71-71-73) to pace the Colonials at the 54-hole Andrea Brotto Classic Friday and Saturday at the par-72, 6,875-yard Birdwood Golf Course in Charlottesville, VA. It marked his fourth Top 10 finish this season. GW shot a team total 905 and placed ninth in the 11-team tournament hosted by the University of Virginia.

Carroll's 75.6 stroke average leads the Colonials.

GW's next competition takes place April 30-May 3 at the 54-hole Atlantic 10 Championship in Middletown, RI.
