Six-time defending champion Charlotte was chosen to finish atop the field again this year, in a pre-championship poll conducted by the league’s head coaches. The Colonials, who were selected to finish fifth in the pre-season vote, finished sixth last year with a combined three-round score of 76-over 940 at the par-72 Mission Inn Resort & Club in Howey-in-the-Hills, Fla.
Seniors Andres Pumariega and Brandon Rukin paced GW last season with 12th and 21st-place finishes, respectively. Pumariega finished in a 12th-place tie with a three-round total of 11-over 227, while Rukin finished in 21st with a three-round score of 15-over 231 in the 55-player field.
