WASHINGTON - Pierre Tillement (Suresnes, France/Lycee Jacques Audiberti) has transferred to the GW golf program and will be eligible to compete immediately for the Colonials in 2014-15, Head Coach Chuck Scheinost announced on Thursday.

Tillement was a member of the golf team at Texas Tech the previous two seasons from 2012-14. Prior to joining the Red Raiders, he was a top-25 ranked amateur in France who spent four years with the French Federation of Golf youth, boys' and men's programs in Antibes and Terre Blanche and two years competing with the France's Under-18 Boys' National Team.

Is his native France, Tillement won the 2013 Grand Prix Prieuré Classic and has competed in four professional Alps Tour events as an amateur, including a trio of top-25 finishes at the International Open of Mirabelle d'Or from 2011-13 (2011 - 20th/126, 2012 - 24th/126, 2013 - 21st/118). Among his notable finishes in the United States, Tillement won the 2010 Doral-Publix Junior Classic in Miami among 206 competitors in the Boys 16-18 age group at 15-under 201 (65-66-70).

Tillement will be among freshmen Zack Bailey, Vince Palazzolo and Jack Porcelli as newcomers set to join five returning letterwinners for Coach Scheinost's second year at the helm of the Colonials' program in 2014-15.
