GW Golf's Jonathan Dresnick Qualifies for Colorado Open
Rising Junior to Attempt to Qualify for U.S. Amateur

George Washington golf rising junior Jonathan Dresnick carded a 1-under par 71 on the 7,260-yard Eagle Ranch Golf Club layout on Tuesday to qualify for the 2013 HealthONE Colorado Open.
Dresnick carded three birdies and two bogeys in his 1-under round to tie for eighth among 74 players and secure one of 15 available spots from the Eagle Ranch qualifier. He was one of five amateurs to qualify from the Eagle Ranch event. He now advances to the 156-player field for the Colorado Open to be played July 25-28 at Green Valley Ranch Golf Club in Denver.
Before competing in the Colorado Open, Dresnick will attempt to qualify for the 2013 U.S. Amateur Championship at Fort Collins Country Club on July 22. He will tee off on the 7,046-yard, par-70 layout at 8:12 a.m. and 1:12 p.m. local time. The USGA premier amateur event will be held at The Country Club in Brookline, Mass., on Aug. 12-18.
