Golf's Barrack Picks Up Second A-10 Rookie Honor

Oct. 1, 2007

PHILADELPHIA, PA -- George Washington's Brendan Barrack (Toronto, Canada/Crenshaw) has been named the Atlantic 10 Conference Rookie of the Week for men's golf, the league office announced Monday. It marks his second weekly honor this season. He also won the award on Sept. 10 following his collegiate debut at Navy.

Barrack fired a 150 (71-79) to tie for 16th place at the Rehoboth Beach Invitational, Monday, at Rehoboth Beach, DE. Barrack parred 25 of the 36 holes and his first-round 71 was his lowest round of the season. He was competing for the Colonials' Gold squad which finished sixth out of 10 teams and combined to shoot a 602 (300-302) at the par-71, 6,480-yard Kings Creek Golf Course.

Barrack is third on the team with a 75.3 stroke average.

The Colonials next compete in the 54-hole Xavier Invitational, Oct. 1-2, in Loveland, OH, near Cincinnati.
