REHOBOTH BEACH, DE (Oct. 2, 2000) - GW's Ryan Day fired a two-over-par
146 (72-74) to win the inaugural Rehoboth Beach Invitational, Monday at
Rehoboth Beach, DE. The senior from Lamoine, ME, led the Colonials to a
second-place finish just five strokes behind Iona College (601).
Fifteen squads competed in the one-day, 36-hole event on the par-72,
6,615-yard course at Kings Creek Country Club.
Day edged Colgate's Eli Zackheim by two strokes for medalist honors.
GW junior Thomas Blankvoort was just three strokes back at 149 (77-72)
placing him in a two-way tie for fourth among 74 individuals.
