GW Golf Closes Fall Season at ODU/OBX Intercollegiate

THIS WEEK: The GW golf team concludes its fall season as it plays in the ODU/OBX Intercollegiate in Powells Point, N.C.

FORMAT: The 54-hole tournament features one round on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, with tee times starting at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday and Monday, and 8 a.m. on Tuesday. Live scoring can be followed here.

ODU/OBX INTERCOLLEGIATE: Hosted by Old Dominion University on the Outer Banks of North Carolina, the tournament will be played at the par-71, 6,550-yard Kilmarlic Golf Club. Representing GW will be sophomore Logan Lowe, junior Vince Palazzolo, redshirt junior Christian Cichan, senior Lucas Farmer and junior Jack Porcelli.

THE COMPETITION: Akron, Ball State, Bowling Green, Campbell, Delaware, Drake, Drexel, George Mason, Hartford, La Salle, Longwood, Nebraksa-Omaha, North Dakota State, Old Dominion, Saint Francis, Saint Joseph's, UNC Wilmington.

LAST TIME OUT: GW shot an 11-over 863 (288-288-287) on Monday and Tuesday at the Elon Phoenix Invitational to finish in a tie for 12th. Lowe led the way by finishing T-6th.

GOLFER OF THE WEEK: On Thursday, Lowe was named Atlantic 10 Co-Golfer of the Week. He recorded the best finish of his collegiate career with the T-6th showing at the Elon Phoenix Invitational. He carded a 6-under par 207 in the 54-hole event, improving one spot on his previous career best finish of T-7th achieved at the season-opening Marshall Invitational.
