2016-17 Season: Rowed three seat of the second varsity eight for the whole season that swept the 2017 George Washington Invitational and defeated Columbia and Navy... won the second-level final at the Eastern Sprints Regatta (5:42.980) to finish 7th overall...at the IRA Regatta, Jacobs helped the boat to a sixth-place finish in the second-level final (6:03.446) for a national ranking of 12th.

Summer 2016: Competed for RowAmerica Rye in the double with a member of the Georgetown Lightweight Rowing team, racing at the Independence Day Regatta.

2015-16 Season: Sat three seat of the freshman eight that placed fourth at Princeton Chase behind Cal, Harvard, and Cornell, and went undefeated in spring competition... sat six seat of the fourth varsity eight throughout the spring that finished sixth overall at the Eastern Sprints Regatta (6:12.925).

High School/Club: Captain of St. Andrew's School Rowing as a senior... spent three years in the first varsity eight, with best finishes of 12th at SRAA National Championships, and 9th at Stotesbury Regatta... two-year captain of the St. Andrew's swimming team, where he was a Second Team All-Conference swimmer his Freshman year, and a First Team All-Conference swimmer his sophomore, junior, and senior years....Third Team All-State swimmer his Senior year, after finishing 9th and 12th in the 50 and 100 freestyle...three years on the Varsity Soccer team, where they were ranked top five in the state during his junior and senior years... state semifinal appearance as a goalie his junior year, as well as two conference championships.

Personal: Born Jay MacIntosh Jacobs on 02/26/1997... son of Eliot and Philip Jacobs... two sisters, Morgan and Harriet... Jacobs's father was Captain of the 1982 Princeton rowing team, while Eliot was a three-sport athlete at Princeton...sister Morgan rowed at Princeton `09... attended St. Andrew's School...enjoys music, soccer, and trying new food... intended major is International Affairs with a concentration in Security Policy.
