Summer 2017: Raced ocean surf boats for the Cape May Beach Patrol...finished tenth at the South Jersey Lifeguard Championship as a rookie.
2016-17 Season: Sat two seat of the second varsity eight for the whole season that swept the 2017 George Washington Invitational and defeated Columbia and Navy... won the second-level final at the Eastern Sprints Regatta (5:42.980) to finish 7th overall...at the IRA Regatta, Knies helped the boat to a sixth-place finish in the second-level final (6:03.446) for a national ranking of 12th.
High School/Club: Rowed at La Salle College High School under Anthony Mieczkowski... earned three varsity letters...won the Navy Day Regatta in first ever race... two time All Philadelphia Catholic League...two second place finishes in the Philadelphia City Championships...earned fifth place in the varsity eight at Stotesbury Cup Regatta as a senior... two time La Salle triathlon champion.
