Stephen Hoskins enters his second season as an assistant coach for the George Washington men's rowing team in 2017-18.

In his first season on the coaching staff in 2015-16, Hoskins coached the Colonials' 4th Varsity 8 to a sixth-place finish at Eastern Sprints. He also oversaw the 3rd Varsity 8 to a 12th-place finish at Eastern Sprints and a 15th-place showing at the IRA National Championship in 2016-17.

Prior to GW, Hoskins helped coach the novice boys at Woodrow Wilson high school in 2015 before starting as a volunteer assistant with the Colonials in 2015-16. He also coached the Thompson Boat Center's Under-23 team during the summer of 2016.

Hoskins was a four-year oarsman at Syracuse from 2012-15, where he graduated with a degree in Civil Engineering in May 2015.

During his time at Syracuse he was the recipient of the David Godfrey Award, annually given to the member of the squad that best exemplifies what it means to be a Syracuse Oarsman in terms of commitment to academics, work ethic towards rowing and having a positive effect on teammates.
