April 6, 2007
GW Invitational Regatta Results from Day 1
WASHINGTON, DC - The 20th Annual George Washington Invitational Regatta got underway Friday in Washington with temperatures in the 40s and gusting winds. A tailwind lessened throughout the day to calm the water. Winds gusting from 5-20 mph created some chop in second 1,000 meters of the 2,000-meter course. Racing resumes Saturday at 8 a.m. for day two. Each team will have two more duals (or three boat races) against two new schools. Overall men's and women's trophies will be awarded following the competition at approximately 5:45 p.m.
