Men's Rowing Concludes Final Warm Up Before Eastern Sprints

PRINCETON, NJ- The George Washington men's rowing team competed in their final warm up before the Eastern Sprints, finishing in third in three races against Navy and Columbia on Lake Carnegie on Saturday afternoon. Navy swept all four events, led by a first-place finish in the Varsity 8. The Midshipmen finished the course in 6:00.3, narrowily defeating Columbia (6:03.6) with the Colonials following in third place in 6:21.8. In the JV 8 the Colonials finished in third place (6:33.3) behind two Navy crews. The Navy 2V took first in 6:16.9 with their 4V following in second in 6:21.7. Columbia took fourth in 6:40.0. The Colonials also registered second- and third-place finishes in two freshman races. GW will take a week off for final exams and return to action at the Eastern Sprints on Lake Quinsigamond in Worcester, MA on Sunday, May 15. Varsity 8 Freshman 8 Second Freshman 8
