George Washington Ranked 14th In Varsity Eight Rankings

WASHINGTON, DC - The George Washington Men's Rowing team is ranked 14h in the Men's Varsity Eight rankings, which is the highest first week position in school history. The Colonials will next race in the George Washington Invitational on April 9th and 10th. University of Washington earned the top spot in this year's first USRowing men's varsity eight poll, while the University of Wisconsin topped the women's lightweight eight poll. Princeton University earned the top ranking in the men's lightweight eight poll. The defending IRA champions from Washington earned eight first-place votes to take the top spot in this season's first men's varsity eight poll. The University of California ranked second, earning the remaining four first-place votes. Brown University, Harvard University and Syracuse University rounded out the top five. Men's Varsity Eight Not Ranked But Receiving Votes: Trinity College 15, Georgetown University 11, University of Michigan 11, University of California at San Diego 6, Gonzaga University 3 and Rutgers University 3.
