Final Stats

PHILADELPHIA, PA - The George Washington men's soccer team went into overtime for the third consecutive match, sixth time this season, and eventually earned a 1-1 draw against Temple in Atlantic 10 Conference action Sunday afternoon.

After falling behind 1-0 in the 72nd minute, GW (7-5-1, 1-1-1 A-10) drew even on junior Mike Rollings first goal of the season at the 81:49 mark. Rollings beat Owls' goalkeeper Tony Pratico with a chip-shot set up by assists from sophomores Erick Perez-Segnini and Byron Walker.

The physical matched featured 32 total fouls and 10 cards, including a Temple (4-6-2, 1-2-1 A-10) red card in the 103rd minute. The Colonials had three shots in the second overtime period following the red-card booking, but couldn't net the golden goal.

Redshirt junior goalkeeper Matt Scheer finished with two saves as the Colonials defense allowed just three of Temple's 13 shots to reach target. GW fired 14 shots, six on goal, with Pratico making five saves.

GW hosts a pair of matches as part of its Soccer Alumni Weekend later this week, beginning with Friday's meeting against Charlotte at 3:00 pm. The Colonials welcome No. 12 Saint Louis to Mount Vernon on Sunday for a 12:00 pm start.
