May 6, 2009
WASHINGTON, DC - Andy Stadler was named the men's soccer team's Most Valuable Player at George Washington's annual Senior Honors Luncheon on the GW campus Monday. Stadler earned the team's MVP award for the second straight season after leading the team and finishing second in the Atlantic 10 with 14 goals and 31 points in 2008. His 31 points were the eighth-most in a single-season in the men's soccer program's 44-year history and helped him earn first team All-Conference and first team All-Region honors. The two-time A-10 Player of the Week and DC College Cup MVP also tied for the league lead with six game-winning goals.
