The Atlantic 10 released their 2003 Preseason All-Conference Teams as selected by the head coaches of the league, naming four George Washington players.

2002 Atlantic 10 All-Conference Second Team member, senior Arnar Johannsson (Reykjavik, Iceland/ C. C. of Iceland) was voted to the 2003 Preseason Team after posting 18 goals and six assists in 2002, helping to lead the Colonials to the program's first Atlantic 10 Championship and their fifth appearance in the NCAA Tournament.

Three GW freshman, Jeremiah Burke (Upper Marlboro, MD/DeMatha Catholic), Donnie Giovacchini (Titusville, NJ/Hopewell Valley) and Joseph Siegel (Somerset, NJ/Franklin), were also selected to the 2003 Preseason All-Rookie Team by the league's coaches.

The Colonials begin their 2003 campaign on Friday, August 29, when they face American University in the DC Cup at Georgetown in a 12:00 p.m. match.
