George Washington men's soccer makes the short trip to Navy on Wednesday night. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. at Glenn Warner Soccer Facility in Annapolis, Md.

LAST TIME OUT: The Colonials have had more than a week to prepare for this one. They fell to William & Mary, 2-1, in their home opener Sept. 5. Oscar Haynes Brown scored his first career goal in the loss.

IN FOCUS: GW has scored all three of its goals this season in the second half. The latest came against William & Mary when Haynes Brown converted a breakaway in the 70th-minute for a 1-0 lead.

FUN FACT: Navy's mascot is Bill the Goat. The use of a live goat mascot for Navy athletic teams dates back to 1893. The first one was named El Cid.

SCOUTING NAVY: The Midshipmen improved to 1-3 with a 3-1 win over James Madison on Saturday. All three of their losses to start the season were decided by one goal, including an overtime setback against Campbell.

Navy posted just one goal combined in its first three matches before scoring three times on Saturday. Daniel Zaremba, Aubrey Jones and Nicko West found the net.

COMING UP: GW hosts UMBC on Saturday at 2 p.m. Join the Colonials for a free cookout and games as part of their annual Kickin' It at the Vern celebration. Food will be served at kickoff to the first 200 fans.
