WASHINGTON, DC - George Washington junior Andy Stadler was named to both the College Soccer News and Top Drawer Soccer National Teams of the Week on Monday following his late-game heroics in the Colonials' 2-1 victory at Mount St. Mary's on Sept. 27.

Stadler scored goals in the 82nd and 85th minutes to help GW erase a one-goal deficit and defeat the Mount, 2-1, and extend the team's winning streak to three matches, its longest since Sept. 2005. He has scored all five of GW's goals during the three-game undefeated stretch.

Stadler has scored at least one point in each match and has nine goals and 19 points through seven matches this season, the highest totals for a Colonial since 2003. He leads NCAA Division I with 2.71 points per game and 1.29 goals per game.

GW (4-2-1), which improved one spot to No. 5 in this week's NSCAA Middle Atlantic regional rankings, next battles 2007 NCAA College Cup participant Virginia Tech Tuesday at 7:00 pm.
