Osborne Receives Atlantic 10 Player of the Week Honors

WASHINGTON, DC (November 5, 2002) - George Washington University men's soccer player Matthew Osborne (Bigham, Notts, England/Toothill Comprehensive) was named Atlantic 10 Player of Week for his outstanding play in two GW matches last week.

Osborne led the Colonials (10-8-0, 6-4-0) with nine points in two Atlantic 10 matches this past week He scored both of his team's goals in the second half of a hard-fought 3-2 loss to Massachusetts on Nov. 1. Osborne led a GW comeback from a 2-0 halftime deficit with two goals and an assist on the game-winner in a 3-2 win over Rhode Island on Nov. 3.

On the year, Osborne ranks second in the Atlantic 10 with 42 points and 16 goals and first in assists with ten. This is his second Player of the Week honor this year.
