Men's Soccer Scores Four On All-Conference Teams

PHILADELPHIA, PA (Nov. 8)- The Atlantic 10 released their 2001 All-Conference Teams, naming senior midfielder Matt Pilkington (Manchester, England) to the first team. Senior midfielder Michael Goldman (Bethesda, MD), junior forward Matt Osborne (Bingham, Notts, England) and sophomore forward Arnar Johannsson (Reykjavik, Iceland) were all named to the second team in voting conducted among the conference's head coaches.

Johannsson, also was named to the All-Rookie Team, and was selected the Rookie of the Year by the coaches after scoring a team-high 10 goals and notching 2 assists in 13 games, leading all first-year players in the conference in scoring with 22 points.

Pilkington received first team honors after leading the team in scoring with 27 points, netting a team-high 10 goals and seven assists. Osborne was second on the team in scoring with 25 points, notching 10 goals and five assists in the 2001 season, earning him second team honors. Goldman also received second team recognition for his 2001 campaign after scoring two goals and seven assists.
