WASHINGTON, DC - Men's soccer will return to the Atlantic 10 Tournament after posting a 7-4-0, (11-8-0 overall) conference record. George Washington, the fourth seed, will face first seed Massachusetts on Friday, Nov. 15, in a 5:30 p.m. match.

The Colonials qualified after Duquesne defeated St. Bonaventure 3-2, in a night game on Saturday, Nov. 9. GW's last tournament appearance was in 2000 when they lost a four overtime match versus Dayton on penalty kicks.

The Colonials and Rhode Island (12-8-0, 7-4-0) were tied for the fourth spot at 21 points apiece based on their conference records. GW received the nod over the Rams due to their 3-2 victory over URI on November 3, as the teams' head-to-head regular season result is the first tiebreaker for determining tournament participants.

The seeding for the 2002 Atlantic 10 Men's Soccer Championship is as follows:

1. Massachusetts (12-5-2, 8-1-2) - 26 points
2. Duquesne (12-2-5, 7-1-3) - 24 points
