Tallahassee, FL - Junior goalkeeper Derek Biss was selected to the College Soccer News National Team of the Week on Monday, Nov. 15 for his performance in the Colonials' run to the Atlantic 10 Championship last week.
Biss tied the A-10 Championship record with two shutouts and he has posted shutouts in five of GW's last six matches. Biss was named the tournament's Most Outstanding Player and was also picked to the All-Championship Team.
The Pittsfield, MA product has played every minute in goal during the Colonials' nine-game unbeaten streak. He leads GW with 65 saves and owns a 1.05 goals-against average in 19 starts.
GW will travel to Chapel Hill, NC on Friday, Nov. 19 for a 6:00 p.m. showdown with North Carolina in the first round of the NCAA Men's Soccer Championship.
