GW Men's Soccer Earns NSCAA Team Academic Award
Colonials Recognized for 3.25 Team GPA in 2012-13 Academic Year

KANSAS CITY, Kan. - The George Washington men's soccer team received the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Team Academic Award for posting a 3.25 team grade-point average during the 2012-13 academic year, the organization announced on Thursday.
The NSCAA recognized a total of 269 collegiate men's soccer teams across all NCAA divisions with team grade-point averages of 3.0 or higher. The Colonials' 3.25 team GPA was tied for 30th among Division I programs. Seventeen of the 24 players on GW's 2012 roster boasted cumulative grade-point averages of 3.0 or better following the Spring 2013 semester, including nine with at least a 3.5.
Senior Tyler Ranalli was recently honored for excelling both academically and athletically, as he was named to the Capital One Academic All-District First Team and to the Atlantic 10 All-Academic Team.
Additionally, nine Colonials were recognized on the Atlantic 10 Commissioner's Honor Roll for the Fall 2012 semester, while 11 were honored in Spring 2013.
GW was one of just four A-10 universities and 79 NCAA Division I schools with both men's and women's programs honored.
